OC: Thai Nakorn
We have been going to Thai Nakorn for many years now, but surprisingly have not gone together until now. We went for lunch for their lunch specials, approximately $7 each, M-F 11-3pm.
All lunch specials come with rice & soup of the day. This was a Tom Yum soup with coconut milk, mushrooms, and chicken. SO GOOD! One of the best free soups ever :P
This is the beef with green chili lunch...
OC: Red Pot
We’ve been on a bit of a shabu binge lately. Can’t get enough of it! Recently we’ve been to Ichi Ichi, California Shabu and now finally just visited Red Pot for AYCE :D. Red Pot has the classic herb shabu (spicy herb in our case). We tried that broth and a curry broth. The spicy herb definitely won out and has that classic shabu smell and taste. You have three...
OC: Todai
Momma treated us out to Todai for lunch, $16 per person on the weekdays.
Started off with some hot dishes. Got seconds on the steak (yum, soft & juicy), a seafood array of squids, shrimps, scallop, & zucchini’s (the sauce was good), and the fish. Teddy liked the crab cakes, but that just ain’t my thing. Everything else was okay-good, nothing horrible.
Udon soup - ehh. I...
Blueberry Hill
Blueberry Hill Family Restaurant is a breakfast restaurant much like Denny’s, but.. to put bluntly is a lot better tasting. The prices were okay, but the items we ordered were pretty good.
Irish Eggs Benedict - $9.49
Corned beef, sauteed tomatoes (edible) and two poached eggs on a split english muffin. A little messy, but they were really good. The chunky potatoes that accompanied this...

Redfoo from LMFAO Marquee Nightclub November 21, 2011
(too crowded, we couldn’t even get onto the dance floor!)
NV: Cheap Steaks
We wanted something cheap and found this place 2 miles away from my Vegas house. Nothing special, but we will be back for the price!
Longhorn Steak Out $5.99
NY Steak with 2 petite lobster tails $9.99 (lobsters were shitty!) *both come with mashed, fried, or baked potato, corn, & bread.
Longhorn Hotel & Casino 5288 Boulder Hwy Las Vegas, NV 89122
Happy Hour at McCormick's
We went to McCormick & Schmick’s Grille for late night happy hour on Friday night. The happy hour menu online is different from the one they had at the actual restaurant - I think there are less food choices and the prices went up. Oh well.
They have a $3.50 beverage minimum to eat the bar food. Teddy went with a blue moon seasonal ($6) & I went with cranberry vodka ($5). My drink...

OC: Andrei's
Teddy’s Birthday dinner at Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails. Here’s the story of Andrei’s: This is a non-profit restaurant, & all proceeds go to the Andrei Foundation to find a cure for an eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa. Andrei is the restaurant owner’s son who died from this disease. Sob story.
Shrimp Bisque $6 - with their house bread, YUM!

OC: California Shabu Shabu
Teddy’s birthday lunch at California Shabu Shabu. They don’t take reservations, so we had to wait for about 20 minutes during lunch time.
We both ordered the large (6 pieces each) 2 items combination: 1 beef/scallop, 1 beef/pork for $14.50 each.
They come with noodles, veggies, rice, & of course, the hot pot. The soup was just water, and you add your own seasoning (i.e....
LV: Yama Sushi
We have been on a search for the best & affordable AYCE sushi restaurant & I think we finally found one that is better than Asahi - Yama Sushi! AYCE appetizers, sushi, & dessert (kind of) for $23.95! SCORE!
Appetizers: 2 orders of edamame, 1 dynamite scallops, 1 sesame chicken, 1 seafood salad, 2 orders of soft shell crab, & 4 orders of baked green mussels.

Smashburger
Burgers before a night out with Dash Berlin. WARNING: our burgers looked NOTHING like the burgers on the website. Even though we got them to-go 10 minutes before the closed, they should still decent. Luckily, the burgers tasted much better than they looked!
smashfries “Tossed with rosemary, olive oil and garlic” $2 - Nothing special. There was not enough seasoning to make it any...
LV: Rio's Carnival World Buffet
The Rio Buffet used to be considered the best buffet in Las Vegas. Well, things have definitely changed. Price is not bad, $18 lunch/$25 dinner (locals get 50% off!). Variety is pretty good, they have your typical pastas, pizza, cocktail shrimps (no crab legs for lunch), prime rib, seafood, mexican, etc. but the cool thing is their Asian food. They have yeppan yaki as well as a soup bar that...
