So Much to Eat, So Little Belly Room!

OC: Thai Nakorn

We have been going to Thai Nakorn for many years now, but surprisingly have not gone together until now. We went for lunch for their lunch specials, approximately $7 each, M-F 11-3pm.

All lunch specials come with rice & soup of the day. This was a Tom Yum soup with coconut milk, mushrooms, and chicken. SO GOOD! One of the best free soups ever :P

This is the beef with green chili lunch entree. Nothing special, but definitely was not bad. The beef was good and had a lot of flavor.

This is the “curry” with coconut and shrimp lunch entree. We were disappointed that it was more of a paste than a curry. The curry paste was definitely flavorful, but I wouldn’t recommend getting this for the price.

Pad Thai was NOT on the lunch menu, BOO. We paid $9 for this baby - comes with pork AND shrimp, so I think that’s why they jacked up the price. Still one of my favorite pad thai’s of all. So much flavor and so much meat.

My favorite entree of all times at Thai Nakorn. A lot of people don’t order this though, but once you step away from your regular noodles, soups, and fried rice, you gotta try this! Pretty pricey for lunch, $16.95, but it’s fish. You get a fried, filleted fish with this super amazingly awesome mango salad sauce! I honestly can eat the mango salad sauce by itself and call it a day - actually, I DO. Yes, the fish is nothing special, but the sauce is a winner.

There are definitely cheaper and closer Thai restaurants to hit up, but this is a must eat once in a while. Oh, and they make everything salty and spicy, so be ready to drink water!
